According to Harish Krishnan, Co-CIO and Head of Equity at ABSL AMC said, “We have had this view that the leaders of the next bull market over the next three-five years are going to be very different from what has kind of taken the market over the last three five years. Therefore we kind of outlined that there are nine sectors where we think the potential leaders could emerge.”

While NBFCs have been the standout performers in financials over the past few years, private banks have lagged under the weight of regulatory scrutiny. ABSL AMC believes this segment could now be poised for a comeback.
Cement and metals are considered “dark horse” sectors with surprising earnings resilience. Cement, in particular, has benefited from sector consolidation and lower energy costs—factors that can enhance profitability and shareholder returns over time.The FMCG and insurance sectors also find a place in the AMC’s focus list. Although the consumption revival isn’t broad-based yet, recent data, including online demand trends in urban areas, suggest early signs of momentum.
In addition, oil and gas, technology, and chemicals are viewed as pockets of relative value. Smaller but promising sectors like textiles and alcobev round off the list, offering niche opportunities for capital allocation.
While not all of these sectors are guaranteed to lead the next bull market, ABSL AMC believes they offer a combination of growth potential and risk management that makes them worthy of close attention for medium- to long-term investors.
