Afcons Infra bags ₹1,283-crore contract from Hindustan Gateway in Gujarat

Shapori pallonies Group firm Afcons Infrastructure Ltd on Wednesday (January 29) said it has secured a major project with the receipt of a letter of award (LOA) from Hindustan Gateway Container Terminal Kandla Private Ltd, a group entity of DP World.

“…we are pleased to announce that Afcons Infrastructure Limited has received the Letter of Award (LOA) today from M/s. Hindustan Gateway Container Terminal Kandla Private Limited (a group entity of DP World),” Afcons Infrastructure said in a regulatory filing.

The company will be responsible for the design and construction of the marine package for the container terminal at Tuna Tekra (Package-1) in Gujarat. The contract, valued at ₹1,283 crore excluding GST, will be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. The project is expected to be completed within 29 months.

Last week, Afcons Infrastructure said the company has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for constructing the Pune Ring Road (East) Packages PRR E5 and E7, awarded by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd. (MSRDC).

“..we are pleased to announce that Afcons Infrastructure Limited has emerged as the Lowest bidder (L1) for the tender invited for the work of construction of the Access Controlled Pune Ring Road (East) Packages PRR E5 and E7 by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd. (MSRDC),” the company stated.

The project involves developing an access-controlled road in Pune, with a total bid project cost of ₹4,787.20 crore, excluding GST. The construction will be executed under the EPC mode, with a completion timeline of 36 months.

Shares of Afcons Infrastructure Limited ended at ₹458.15, down by ₹2.10, or 0.46%, on the BSE.
