Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the Andhra Pradesh government plans to encourage ‘Work From Home’ in a big way, especially for women. Naidu said the move is aimed to ensure a better work-life balance for professionals.In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Naidu said the initiative will foster greater participation of women in the workforce. “Andhra Pradesh is planning “Work From Home” in a big way, especially for women,” Naidu said.
It was during COVID-19 that Work From Home gained prominence with technology enabling remote working. “Work From Home gained prominence as a flexible and scalable option. Concepts such as remote work, coworking spaces (CWS), and Neighbourhood Workspaces (NWS) provide new avenues for businesses and employees alike to create productive, flexible work environments,” Naidu explained.
He said the Andhra Pradesh IT & GCC Policy 4.0 will be a game-changing step towards transforming the state’s IT and GCC (Global Capability Centers) ecosystem. He explained that the policy aims to foster the creation of IT office spaces across every city, town, and mandal in the state to support local employment generation and development of infrastructure.”I am confident these initiatives will foster greater workforce participation, especially of women professionals, who will benefit from flexible remote or hybrid work options,” Naidu added.
