On Monday, the US updated a travel advisory to “do not travel” to Israel, Gaza and the West Bank as the conflict escalated in the region, The Independent reported. The advisory said: “The security situation in Israel, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, is unpredictable, and US citizens are reminded to remain vigilant and take appropriate steps to increase their security awareness as security incidents, including mortar and rocket fire and armed UAV intrusions and missiles, can take place without warning.”
IndiaIndia has advised its citizens in Israel to avoid non-essential activities in the country and stay closer to designated shelters.
For people in Iran, the Indian government advised them to follow local safety protocols and stay in contact with their Indian embassies. They have also been asked to stay vigilant in the fast-evolving security environment.
“Because of the current situation in Iran, all Indian nationals & persons of Indian origin in Iran are requested to remain vigilant, avoid all unnecessary movements, follow the embassy’s social media accounts & observe safety protocols as advised by local authorities,” the Indian embassy in Iran wrote on X.
“All Indian nationals and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) who can move out of Tehran using their own resources are advised to move to a safe location outside the City,” the Embassy of India said in a tweet.
Russia
Russia was also among the top nations urging its citizens not to travel to either Iran or Israel. Avoid military zones, public gatherings and densely populated areas that may be targeted, the Russian officials suggested to their people in the two countries.
The United Kingdom
Britain has advised its citizens against travelling to Iran. As far as Israel is concerned, the UK said that people should refrain from non-essential trips to Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
Those already in the two countries have been asked to stay close to shelters, monitor local updates, and follow instructions from the authorities.Australia
Australia has issued a clear ‘Do Not Travel’ advisory for Israel, Iran, and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, in light of the escalating tensions in West Asia. For people already in the region, the government asked them to stay near designated safety zones, keep local updates, and avoid any unnecessary movement.

Canada has asked its citizens to avoid travelling to Israel, Iran, Gaza, and the West Bank. The officials issued an ‘Avoid All Travel’ advisory, given the intensifying Israel-Iran conflict.
The government asked its people in the region to stay indoors, avoid military or crowded areas, and register with the Registration of Canadians Abroad service for emergency updates.
France
Much like India, the US and Australia, France has warned its citizens against travelling to Israel, Iran, Lebanon, and the Palestinian territories. The authorities have prohibited all trips to Iran and discouraged travel to Israel unless necessary, such as for family, diplomatic, or humanitarian reasons.
Germany
Germany has warned its citizens against travelling to Israel and the Palestinian territories, urging them to stay away from the escalating conflict zone. The Foreign Ministry underlined the growing threat of missile and drone attacks after Israel targeted military and nuclear installations in Iran.
Pakistan
In its travel advisory, Pakistan urged its citizens to avoid travelling to Iran. The advisory was particularly for religious pilgrims, who take yearly trips to Iran. For people already in Iran, Pakistan has set up a 24/7 crisis management cell and embassy assistance. They have also asked them to return home as soon as conditions allow.
Bangladesh
Given Israel’s over a year-long bombing of Gaza and now attacks in Iran, Bangladesh has reinstated the travel ban on the country. The restriction, “This passport is valid for all countries of the world except Israel,” which was removed in 2021, has been brought back.
