Musk has also hinted at the global expansion of Tesla’s newly opened Los Angeles restaurant. In a post on X on Monday, the tech billionaire floated the idea of expanding the outlet into a nationwide network, depending on the success of the first Tesla Diner.
Sharing a video of the diner, he wrote, “If our retro-futuristic diner turns out well, which I think it will, Tesla will establish these in major cities around the world, as well as at Supercharger sites on long-distance routes. An island of good food, good vibes & entertainment, all while Supercharging!”

In response to a comment, the world’s richest person also stated that he would open a second diner at Starbase, the rocket launch facility in South Texas run by his company, SpaceX.

According to a Teslarati report, most food products, including burgers and French fries, cost between $4 and $15. As per the report, the construction work for the diner began in September 2023.
The place offers themed merchandise, including a vintage-style Hollywood diner T-shirt, an action figure version of the Tesla Bot, supercharged gummy candies and a Tesla restaurant-branded trucker cap.
Earlier on July 14, Musk visited the diner in LA and praised the location. “I just had dinner at the retro-futuristic @Tesla diner and Supercharger. Team did great work making it one of the coolest spots in LA!”

The concept of a Tesla diner has been in development for years, with Musk describing the project in 2023 as “Grease meets the Jetsons with Supercharging”.
Earlier in 2018, he shared his plan for the diner, saying he was “gonna put an old school drive-in, roller skates and rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in LA.”
