In a minute-long promotional video, the Hollywood actress and entrepreneur tells viewers that she has been employed on a ‘very temporary basis’ by the tech startup to represent over 300 Astronomer employees and to respond to a few simple questions on behalf of Astronomer.
“I have been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer,” Paltrow began the minute-long clip on X (formerly Twitter).“Astronomer has gotten a lot of questions over the last few days, and they wanted me to answer the most common ones,” she added.
Paltrow put on a straight face and responded to queries concerning the Astronomer’s data operations rather than discussing the kiss-cam incident involving Andy Byron and Kristen Cabot during Coldplay’s concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Paltrow said that she was thrilled about the increasing interest in data process automation and highlighted that Astronomer is the top platform for managing Apache Airflow.
“Yes, Astronomer is the best place to run Apache Airflow, unifying the experience of running data, ML, and AI pipelines at scale,” she said.
“We’ve been thrilled so many people have a newfound interest in data workflow automation,” the
Iron Man actress said in a promotion for their latest AI and data solutions.Another inquiry, “How is your social media team holding?” appears on a blue screen as she continues. Paltrow hilariously disproved everyone’s suspicions that she would discuss the scandal.
She also affirmed that there are still openings for their next Beyond Analytics event. “Yes, there is still room available at our Beyond Analytics event in September,” Paltrow added.
“Thank you for your interest in Astronomer,” Paltrow said in the end, adding, “We will now be going back to what we do best: Delivering game-changing results to our customers.”

“You hired the Coldplay singer’s ex-wife. Extraordinary,” commented another.
The drama started on July 16 at Coldplay’s show at Gillette Stadium in Boston, where Cabot and Byron, who were both married to other people, appeared on the arena’s jumbotron, embracing each other. As of now, both of Astronomer’s leading executives have stepped down from their roles.
