Bank holidays in November 2025: Check the complete list

With the start of November and the end of the festive season, people are getting back to their daily schedule. However, banks across India will remain closed for around nine to ten days in the next month.It is recommended that customers who want to visit their branch review the list of bank holidays by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) before making any transactions.Banks across India will observe a variety of state-specific holidays in November 2025, according to the RBI holiday matrix and other regional announcements. Several closures are exclusive to states and festivals, although some, like the regular Sunday break, are common.

However, banks across the country will remain closed for several days. Check details:November 1: Karnataka Rajyotsava/Igas-BagwalBanks will remain closed in Karnataka on this date in observance of Karnataka Rajyotsava, also known as Karnataka State Day or Kannada Day, with the NRI community, which celebrates the formation of the state.Igas Bagwal, which is observed 11 days after the main Diwali and is often celebrated with a state holiday, adds another dimension to Uttarakhand’s festive calendar. Banks in Uttarakhand will also remain closed on this day.November 5: Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartika PurnimaBanks in Aizawl, Bhopal, Belapur, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Jaipur, Kanpur, Jammu, Kohima, Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, and Srinagar will remain closed on September 5 in observance of Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartika Purnima/Rahas Purnima.

November 7: Wangala FestivalThe Garo tribe in Meghalaya celebrates the famous Wangala Festival, which is a harvest celebration. It is a seven-day celebration that is sponsored by the state and is a public holiday in Meghalaya. All banks in the capital city, Shillong, remain closed on this day.November 8: Kanaka Dasa JayantiKanaka Dasa is a renowned Bhakti poet, composer, musician, philosopher, and social reformer from Karnataka state. In 2025, Kanaka Dasa Jayanthi falls on November 8, which is also Saint Kanaka Dasa’s 525th birthday. This also happens to be the second Saturday of bank closure.November 11: Lhabab DuchenSikkim will observe Lhabab Duchen 2025, one of the major festivals among Buddhists, as a bank holiday on Tuesday, November 11. It will only impact banks in that state and not the entire nation because it is a regional holiday.Saturday, Sunday break in NovemberRegular weekly bank holidays are observed nationwide on Saturdays and Sundays, including November 2, November 8, November 9, November 16, November 22, November 23, and November 30.November 2025 will feature several bank holidays spread across India via national (Sunday closures) and regional festivals, including Guru Nanak Jayanti and Wangala.Despite the possibility of physical branches closing these days, digital banking services like ATMs and internet/mobile banking are still accessible.
