BEML shares to trade ex-stock split from Monday; All you need to know

Shares of state-run BEML Ltd. will be in focus on Monday, November 3, as the stock begins trading adjusted for its stock split announced earlier.The PSU had earlier announced a 1:2 stock split, which means one share of ₹10 will be split into two shares of ₹5 each. The record date for the stock split, is Monday.

A stock split is done by any company to increase the number of shares that are outstanding by issuing more shares to current shareholders.

For example, if you own 100 shares of BEML as of Friday’s closing, you will be eligible for the stock split. Based on the split ratio, your 100 shares will be converted to 200 shares, and the stock price will adjust accordingly.The stock split will not result in any increase in the value of your shares, only the 100 shares worth ₹100 would become 200 shares of ₹50 each.

This is the first split or bonus kind of corporate action carried out by BEML. The company had spun-off its land assets business back in 2022.

Shares of BEML will also be in focus this week as it reports its September quarter results on Wednesday, November 5, which happens to be a market holiday.

BEML shares ended 1% lower last Friday at ₹4,391. The stock has remained flat in the last one month and has gained 6.5% so far in 2025, outperforming the Nifty PSE index, which has gained 5.2% year-to-date.
