Bharti Hexacom Q2 profit zooms 66% to ₹421 crore on strong ARPU, customer additions

Bharti Hexacom Ltd, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel Ltd, on Monday (November 3), reported a 66.4% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹421 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared with ₹253 crore in the same quarter last year. Sequentially, net profit was up 7.5% from ₹392 crore in the previous quarter.Revenue from operations stood at ₹2,317 crore, registering a 10.5% year-on-year growth and a 2.4% increase sequentially. The growth was driven by higher average revenue per user (ARPU), increased smartphone customer additions, and strong performance across business segments.

Mobile services revenue grew 9.6% year-on-year, supported by an increase in ARPU to ₹251 from ₹228 a year earlier and higher data consumption. Smartphone data customers rose by 1.6 million year-on-year and 0.2 million sequentially, now representing 78% of the total mobile customer base. Average monthly data usage per customer increased 27% year-on-year to 30.7 GB.

The Homes and Offices business recorded a robust 46.9% year-on-year revenue growth, aided by 60,000 net customer additions in the quarter. The customer base for this segment now stands at 0.6 million across 117 cities, as the company continues to expand its FTTH markets through partnerships with local cable operators.EBITDA for the quarter rose 20.1% year-on-year to ₹1,256 crore, with margins expanding 433 basis points to 54.2%. EBIT increased 37.6% year-on-year to ₹702 crore, with an EBIT margin of 30.3%, up 597 basis points. EBITDAaL stood at ₹1,098 crore, reflecting a 21.9% increase year-on-year, with margins at 47.4%.

Bharti Hexacom’s overall customer base reached 28.60 million as of September 30, 2025. The company also maintained a strong balance sheet, with its net debt (excluding lease obligations) to EBITDAaL ratio improving to 0.64 times, down from 1.35 times a year ago.

During the quarter, Bharti Hexacom, in collaboration with Bharti Airtel, partnered with Perplexity to offer a 12-month complimentary Perplexity Pro subscription to customers, enhancing digital engagement through AI-powered search and conversational experiences.

Shares of Bharti Hexacom Ltd ended at ₹1,871.60, up by ₹12.45, or 0.67%, on the BSE.
