She also noted that price targets around Bitcoin are getting stronger as institutional interest rises. “There’s a lot of pie in the sky, price predictions out there, but there’s also just some of the smartest investors in the world, like Cathie Wood and others, and the way that Larry Fink speaks about Bitcoin and other potentials that are astronomically high and yet backed up by their own projection models that are very strong,” she explained.
Wald pointed out how the perception of the crypto market has changed since the FTX collapse. “Even after FTX, we had black eyes… a lot of us working in the crypto industry were de-banked, but now you just have everybody that’s supportive and making this industry work and making it available for the largest asset managers in the world.”With institutional players such as BlackRock entering the space and nation-states considering adoption, Wald said she remains “very bullish” on Bitcoin’s future.
Wald stressed that the crypto industry has moved beyond pure speculation. She highlighted that the bigger shift underway is the transformation of mainstream finance itself, which is increasingly being rebuilt on blockchain infrastructure.
This evolution, she noted, reflects a structural change in how global financial systems are designed and operated.
