She added that China stands ready to work with India to implement the important common understandings between the two leaders, take the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic relations as an opportunity, promote exchange and cooperation in various fields and at all levels, and advance bilateral ties on the track of sound and stable development.In conversation with American podcaster Lex Fridman, Modi said normalcy has returned to the India-China border after his recent talks with President Xi to defuse tensions ignited by the 2020 clashes between the two armies in eastern Ladakh. He said that differences between neighbours are natural and emphasised the ancient cultural ties between them when the two civilisations learnt from each other and had little conflict.

PM Modi said there was no real history of conflict between India and China if one looked back over centuries.
