Dividend Stock: REC approves fourth interim payout for FY25; check record date

The board of REC Limited has approved its fourth interim dividend for the current financial year, it said in an exchange filing on Wednesday, March 19.REC has approved the fourth interim dividend of ₹3.6 per share.
So far, REC has paid ₹15.4 per share as dividend in financial year 2025.

The board has approved March 26 as the record date for its fourth interim dividend payout. A record date means shareholders who own shares of the company at that particular date will be eligible for the dividend payout.
The said dividend will be paid to the shareholders on April 16, 2025.Global brokerage firm CLSA has an ‘Outperform’ rating on REC Ltd., with a price target of ₹590.

The foreign brokerage mentioned that the power financer’s performance on asset quality in its genco, renewable and infrastructure book has been quite comfortable in the last two years, with largely no major or new slippages.

CLSA continues to be comfortable with asset quality of PFC and REC and expects write-backs between ₹2,200 crore to ₹2,500 crore from pending bad loans.

Besides, all 12 analysts with coverage on REC have ‘Buy’ ratings on them.

Following the dividend announcement, shares of REC Limited are trading nearly 2% higher at 428.30. The stock is down over 15% on a year-to-date basis.
