Her statement drew widespread applause from the audience and highlighted India’s pluralistic identity. The remark comes against the backdrop of the DMK’s ongoing opposition to the Centre’s three-language formula under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Notably, the DMK remains a vocal supporter of the two-language system, Tamil and English, and views the NEP as encroaching on the rights of states and challenging federal principles.
Unified voice against terrorism
Kanimozhi is leading the all-party delegation which includes Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Rajeev Kumar Rai, BJP’s Brijesh Chowta, RJD’s Prem Chand Gupta, AAP’s Ashok Mittal, and former Indian Ambassador to the EU and Nepal, Manjeev Singh Puri.
The delegation conveyed a collective Indian stance on pressing global issues, especially terrorism and Pakistan’s role in spreading it across the border.
“India has declared that it shall not distinguish between terror and states which sponsor terror. We come together as citizens of India in one voice, bringing the message of our government saying that India is not seeking revenge. “Terrorism has no boundaries, it has no ideology, it has no faith … If this world has to be a safer place, we have to stop these terrorists and terror activities. Any country which allows space to these terrorists, sponsors terror activities has to be held accountable,” she added.
Delegation meets terror victims’ association
The Indian delegation also held discussions with the Association of Victims of Terrorism in Madrid, one of the largest global bodies supporting victims of terror-related violence, as per Moneycontrol.
The meeting involved a meaningful exchange on trauma recovery, resilience, and India’s own experience with cross-border terrorism, the Indian Embassy in Spain stated.
The Association works with over 4,000 victims, providing psychosocial support and rehabilitation services. The meeting aimed to foster dialogue and share strategies in assisting those affected by terrorism.
The ongoing outreach of the multi-party delegations seeks to reinforce India’s international partnerships while showcasing its domestic consensus and zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
