Donald Trump to Iran: Attack us and face ‘full strength and might’ of US forces

Date:

US President Donald Trump, on Sunday, warned Iran that if it attacks the United States in any way, the US military will respond with “full strength and might” at “levels never seen before.”He made this statement on his social media platform, Truth Social, saying, “If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.” Trump also said the US had “nothing to do” with recent attacks on Iran.

The warning came after Israel claimed responsibility for attacks on Iran early Sunday. The Israeli military said it targeted Iran’s nuclear program and military sites. These included the headquarters of Iran’s Defence Ministry, a nuclear project, and a site where Iran kept its nuclear archive. Also Read: Israel-Iran war: How Donald Trump’s latest post puts Saudi Arabia in a fix

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the strikes, part of Operation “Rising Lion” launched on Friday, aimed to “roll back the Iranian threat.” He claimed the attacks set back Iran’s nuclear program by years and killed top generals, scientists, and experts.

Netanyahu added, “We will hit every site and every target of the Ayatollahs’ regime,” and the operation would continue as needed.

Iran retaliated by launching missiles and drones at Israel. The attacks targeted energy infrastructure and facilities for fighter jet fuel production. At least seven people were killed in Israel, including a 10-year-old boy and a woman in her 20s. Air raid sirens sounded across Jerusalem and Tel Aviv during the assault.

Trump earlier suggested that he could “easily” make a deal between Iran and Israel to end the conflict. He wrote on Truth Social, “We can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!”

The US President also noted that nuclear talks between the US and Iran, scheduled for Sunday in Oman, were cancelled. Earlier, on Friday, Trump had urged Iran to make a deal on its nuclear program, saying, “Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left.”

The Middle East remains tense after these events. Israel’s Operation “Rising Lion” began on Friday, striking Iran’s nuclear and military sites. Netanyahu called it a “pre-emptive strike” to protect Israel’s survival.

The attacks followed Trump’s earlier warnings to Iran, which he referenced on Truth Social, claiming Iranian commanders “didn’t know what was about to happen” and were now “all DEAD.” He added, “There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter come to an end.”
