GMR Airports Business Update: 30.1 million passengers in Q1; June traffic flat at 97.9 lakh

GMR Airports Ltd on Wednesday (July 16) reported a 3.3% year-on-year rise in passenger traffic in Q1 FY26, handling over 30.1 million passengers across its airport network. The quarter also saw aircraft movements (ATMs) rise 17.2% year-on-year to 0.55 lakh.In June 2025 alone, GMR Airports handled 97.93 lakh passengers, up 0.9% year-on-year. Domestic traffic rose 2.9%, while international traffic increased 4.6% compared to June last year. Aircraft movements for the month stood at 61,251, up 2.6% year-on-year.

Despite muted growth in June and Q1, attributed to temporary disruptions such as changes in airspace conditions due to geopolitical events and the ongoing Runway 10/28 upgradation at Delhi Airport, GMR said traffic at Delhi remained resilient. The drop in Q1 FY26 traffic at Delhi was equivalent to just one day’s worth of passenger traffic.Hyderabad Airport delivered its highest-ever passenger traffic and aircraft movements during the quarter. Meanwhile, Mopa Airport (GOX) in Goa crossed the 11 million passenger milestone since commencing domestic operations in January 2023 and international services in July 2023. Passenger traffic has consistently remained above 9.7 million per month since November 2024.

Shares of GMR Airports Ltd ended at ₹93.84, up by ₹1.87, or 2.03%, on the BSE.
