In a stock exchange filing, Godavari Biorefineries said that the patented molecule has demonstrated efficacy against both cancer cells and cancer stem cells and is being explored as a potential therapy for various cancers, including breast and prostate cancer.
Preclinical animal studies have shown promising results in terms of efficacy and safety, the company informed the bourses.The molecule is currently undergoing Phase 1a clinical trials to evaluate its safety in patients with advanced solid tumours and healthy volunteers.
