Godfrey Phillips Q3 Results | Net profit jumps 49% to ₹316 crore, revenue surges 27%

Cigarette maker Godfrey Phillips India Ltd on Thursday (February 12) reported a 48.7% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at ₹315.9 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024.

In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Godfrey Phillips India posted a net profit of ₹212.4 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company’s revenue from operations surged 27.3% to ₹1,591.2 crore as against ₹1,249.6 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.

At the operating level, EBITDA zoomed 57.6% to ₹358.8 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal over ₹227.7 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.EBITDA margin stood at 22.6% in the reporting quarter as compared to 18.2% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.

The results came after the close of the market hours. Shares of Godfrey Phillips India Ltd ended at ₹4,982.95, down by ₹480.35 or 8.79% on the BSE.
