The cigarette maker reported a 48.7% increase in its December quarter net profit at ₹315.9 crore against ₹212.4 crore in the previous fiscal.
The company’s revenue from operations surged 27.3% to ₹1,591.2 crore compared to ₹1,249.6 crore in the third quarter last year.
At the operating level, its EBITDA gained 57.6% to ₹358.8 crore against ₹227.7 crore in the third quarter last fiscal. EBITDA margin expanded to 22.6% in the December quarter from 18.2% in the previous year.
Shares of Godfrey Phillips India Ltd gained 18.6% to touch an intraday high of ₹5,932.30 on Friday, February 14. The stock was trading 16.5% higher at ₹5,824.45 per share around 10.10 am. It has gained 132.84% in the past year.
