Shares of Interglobe Aviation Ltd., the parent company of India’s largest airline IndiGo, are likely to be part of the Nifty 50 index when the next index review takes place in September this year, an early study from Nuvama Alternative and Quantitative Research indicates.”We reiterate that there is a very high chance of IndiGo getting included in the Nifty 50 during the September 2025 review,” Nuvama Alternative wrote in a note.
IndiGo could replace Hero MotoCorp in the Nifty 50 index, according to the note.
Nuvama Alternative also mentioned that the lock-in for promoter selling is over and there could be a stake sale taking place and in case that does happen, it could be a buying opportunity.
Shares of IndiGo could continue to go well and can reach levels of ₹5,600 and ₹5,700 on the upside, Nuvama Alternative’s note said.In an analyst meet earlier today, IndiGo said that it expects over 600 aircraft to be part of its fleet by 2030, by which, the airline also plans to double its passenger capacity.

Shares of Interglobe Aviation are trading 3.8% higher on Wednesday at ₹4,986. The stock made a 52-week high of ₹5,052 in today’s trading session, having gained 13% over the last one month.
