Tourist Destinations: Yoga sessions will be organised at 100 iconic “tourist-based” destinations and 50 other cultural sites across India by the Union Ministry of Culture on June 21 to mark IDY 2025, the ministry said. Some UNESCO World Heritage sites are among the venues that will host these events; these include Charaideo Maidam (Assam), Hampi and Pattadakal (Karnataka), Rani Ki Vav & Dholavira (Gujarat), Khajuraho Group of Monuments and Sanchi Stupa (Madhya Pradesh), and the Konark Sun Temple (Odisha).3. Indian Council Of Cultural Relations: Indian-origin individuals residing abroad can celebrate IDY 2025 by participating in events planned by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, the cultural wing of India’s Ministry of External Affairs. As per an official statement cited by news agency PTI, ICCR is set to hold as many as 2,000 events at 1,300 locations spread across 191 countries. Yoga Parks: As part of this initiative, the public parks in rural Panchayats and urban municipalities are transformed into yoga zones where trained instructors will lead sessions for people. Earlier, on June 14, the findings were unveiled during Yoga Connect, a global summit, which brought together leading yoga experts from across the world.7. Yoga Unplugged: With a vast majority of the Indian population still under or near 30 years of age, it’s important to make this practice popular among them. Yoga Unplugged blends traditional practice with modern formats. As part of this initiative, youth festivals, workshops, and social media campaigns are organised to spark interest in yoga.
