In a strongly worded statement, Araghchi accused the United States, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, of coordinating the attacks with Israel. He said this act of aggression was aimed at undermining Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and warned that Tehran would “defend its territory by all means necessary.”
“Iran strongly condemns the USA’s brutal military aggression against our peaceful nuclear facilities,” Araghchi stated. “This is an outrageous, grave, and unprecedented violation of the fundamental principles of the UN Charter and international law.”He held Washington fully responsible for the consequences of what he described as “war-mongering and lawless” act.
“This attack on a sovereign UN member, carried out in collusion, has once again exposed the extent of the United States’ hostility towards Iran,” Araghchi added.

Meanwhile, Iran’s foreign minister confirmed that he would travel to Moscow for urgent consultations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Araghchi said Tehran would reserve “all options” to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people.
Donald Trump, in a statement following the operation, claimed the targetted Iranian nuclear facilities were “completely and totally obliterated.”In his first public response since the attacks, newly elected Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian accused the United States of being the driving force behind Israel’s ongoing military actions against Iran.
Speaking to state news agency IRNA, Pezeshkian said, “This aggression showed that America is the main factor behind the Zionist regime’s hostile actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.” He added that Washington had “joined the arena after witnessing Israel’s impotence.”
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned that the attack has granted Iran the legitimate right to defend itself, including by means that “go beyond the delusional calculations of the aggressor coalition.” The statement, carried by Iranian news agency Tasnim, hinted at potential military retaliation.
The Iranian government has called on the international community to respond firmly to the US actions and prevent further escalation in the region.
Russia joined Iran in condemning the US strike, calling it an “irresponsible” and “gross violation” of the UN Charter, international law, and UN Security Council resolutions.
In a diplomatic response, the European Union urged all sides to de-escalate. EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas said, “I urge all sides to step back, return to the negotiating table, and prevent further escalation.” EU foreign ministers are scheduled to discuss the crisis in an emergency meeting on Monday.
The United Kingdom and several other nations also issued appeals for calm, stressing the importance of diplomacy over military action.
The crisis has sparked widespread concern over a possible regional conflict, with fears that the incident could spiral into a broader war involving multiple countries.
