Johnson Controls-Hitachi Q1 profit falls 57% YoY; Revenue, margins also decline

Johnson Controls-Hitachi reported a 57% YoY drop in Q1 profit to ₹15.2 crore, with revenue and margins also declining. Shares of  Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning ended at ₹1,755.75, up by ₹9.20 or 0.53%, on the BSE.

Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India reported a weak performance for the first quarter ended June 30, 2025, with net profit dropping 57% year-on-year to ₹15.2 crore from ₹36.1 crore in the same quarter last year.

Revenue from operations declined 14.4% YoY to ₹852.6 crore compared to ₹996 crore in Q1FY25. Operating performance also weakened, with EBITDA falling 34.3% to ₹36.8 crore, and EBITDA margin shrinking to 4.3% from 5.6% a year earlier.

The company had earlier declared an interim dividend of ₹36 per equity share for FY26, with July 9, 2025, set as the record date to determine shareholder eligibility.

Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India is a joint venture between Johnson Controls (JCI) and Hitachi Appliances, Japan, focused on the air conditioning and refrigeration market in India.

The results came after the close of the market hours. Shares of  Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning ended at ₹1,755.75, up by ₹9.20 or 0.53%, on the BSE.
