Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, said the Israeli regime has sealed a “bitter and painful” destiny for itself. “With this crime, the Zionist regime has prepared for itself a bitter, painful fate, which it will definitely see,” he posted on the social media platform X.
The US has denied involvement in the attack, despite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu crediting US President Donald Trump’s ‘leadership’ in confronting Iran, and Israeli claims that the strikes were supported by the US.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reiterated that the operation was a unilateral Israeli action and urged Iran not to target US interests or personnel.
