JSW Energy Ltd. on Friday, July 25, said its wholly-owned subsidiary JSW Neo Energy Ltd. has signed a power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India for the supply of 230 mega watt (MW) ISTS connected firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE).The same is under the SECI-FDRE Tranche IV scheme.
With this, the company said its total under-construction capacity stands at 12.9 giga watt (GW) and its total locked-in generation capacity is at 30.2 GW.
JSW Energy said it remains well-positioned to achieve its strategic target of 30 GW installed generation capacity and 540 GWh of energy storage by 2030.
“With this project, we are strengthening our energy products and services offering while supporting the country’s energy transition goals,” Sharad Mahendra, the joint managing director and CEO of JSW Energy, said.Earlier this month, JSW Energy’s step-down subsidiary JSW Renew Energy Thirty Seven Ltd., inked a battery energy storage purchase agreement with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RVUNL) for a 250 MW/500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS).
With this, the company said its total under-construction capacity stands at 12.9 giga watt (GW) and its total locked-in generation capacity is at 30.2 GW.

The project will be developed under a build, own and operate model. As part of the 12-year agreement, RVUNL will procure energy storage services at a tariff of ₹2,24,000 per MW per month, supported via viability gap funding to enhance cost viability for the grid.
Shares of JSW Energy were down 0.42% at ₹530.3 apiece at 9.20 am on Friday, July 25. The stock has declined 17.68% this year, so far.
