A Lufthansa aircraft en route from Frankfurt, Germany, to Seville in Spain, was reportedly left unattended without an active pilot in the cockpit for approximately 10 minutes after the co-pilot fainted.The incident that occurred on February 17, 2024 aboard an Airbus A321, which was carrying 199 passengers and six crew members, reported The Associated Press (AP), citing German news agency dpa, on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
The co-pilot lost consciousness while he was alone in the cockpit, with the captain temporarily away using the restroom, as per reports released by Spain’s Civil Aviation Accident Authority (CIAIAC).
