Mahakumbh 2025: 180 Million Servings of Coca Cola!

The Mahakumbh 2025 concluded on February 26 this year with over 660 million devotees in attendance through the course of the event, which began on January 13. Two months after the conclusion, the Mahakumbh has had an impact on a US-based company!The Coca-Cola Company, one of the largest beverage manufacturing companies in the world, released its earnings on Tuesday, April 29. What stood out, was how the Atlanta, Geogria-based company highlighted the impact of the Mahakumbh on its financials.
“For the first time in the company’s history, the system intensified an integrated activation consisting of hundreds of refreshment zones, nearly 1,400 mobile stations and a world-record-long 100 cooler-door wall,” Coca-Cola said in its earnings statement.
Coca-Cola served 180 million servings during the course of the Mahakumbh, it said in its statement. Assuming that one attendee had one serving through the course, at least 27% of the total Mahakumbh attendees had one Coca-Cola serving.
India’s market also grew in double-digits during the quarter, according to Coca-Cola’s earnings statement.”Trademark Coca-Cola and Thums-Up, a cherished regional brand, are fueling consumers and contributed to double-digit volume growth for the market in the first quarter,” the company said.

India, China and Brazil also contributed to the 2% unit case volume growth during the quarter.

Refranchising its bottling operations in certain locations in India, led to a gain of $293 million for the Coca-Cola company during the March quarter.

Coca-Cola also maintained its full-year outlook, expecting organic revenue to grow between 5% and 6% and comparable Earnings Per Share (EPS) to grow by 2% to 3% from last year.
