CE Info Systems Ltd, which operates MapmyIndia, on Monday, July 7, said it has integrated the MapmyIndia Mappls app with India Post’s DIGIPIN to offer ‘last mile digital address connectivity’.The collaboration will allow users to generate a precise, easy-to-use, and universally recognised Digital Pin—a unique DIGIPIN from India Post—for any location or address across India, the company said.
MapmyIndia has embedded India Post’s DIGIPIN system into its MappIs app, enabling every Indian to create and access a unique, precise and verifiable digital address. India Post has also integrated MapmyIndia’s advanced Map APIs into their own systems.
The company added that the system would be easy to use and would focus on universal precision, privacy, and integration with the Mappls App.
“This collaboration is a historic stride towards building a truly inclusive Digital Bharat, where no one is left behind. This goes far beyond maps—it is about empowering over a billion Indians with a digital postal address for every home and business. DIGIPIN gives every location its own digital footprint, and with Mappls Pin, we’re adding an intelligent layer on top of DIGIPIN that bridges the gap between the physical and digital worlds—serving every user, whether relying on GPS or otherwise,” Rakesh Verma, Co-founder and Chairman & Managing Director, MapmyIndia Mappls, said.Last week, the digital mapping company bagged a map data licensing contract worth approximately ₹233 crore from a private sector international client. The project, deemed as a domestic-use map licensing deal, will be executed over a period of seven years.
