Describing the development as a ‘moment of profound relief’, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer urged all parties to implement the agreement fully.
“I am grateful for the tireless diplomatic efforts of Egypt, Qatar, Turkiye and the United States, supported by our regional partners, in securing this crucial first step. This agreement must now be implemented in full, without delay, and accompanied by the immediate lifting of all restrictions on life-saving humanitarian aid to Gaza,” he added.

UN chief António Guterres welcomed the Israel-Hamas agreement, lauding the diplomatic efforts of the United States, Qatar, Egypt and Turkiye. In a statement, Hamas expressed appreciation for the efforts of mediators in Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, and also acknowledged the efforts of US President Donald Trump.
“We highly appreciate the efforts of our brothers and mediators in Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, and we also value the efforts of US President Donald Trump aimed at ending the war completely and achieving a full withdrawal of the occupation from the Gaza Strip,” Hamas said.
