Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has secured a key infrastructure project, emerging as the lowest bidder (L1) for a ₹554.64 crore contract awarded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).The project involves the construction of a six-lane access-controlled connectivity road linking Sabbavaram bypass (Anakapalli-Anandapuram corridor) to Sheelanagar junction of NH-516C in Andhra Pradesh.
The project will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), a funding mechanism where the government and the private sector share investment risks.

This win reinforces RVNL’s growing presence in the infrastructure and highways segment. The company has been diversifying beyond railway projects, strengthening its foothold in the roads and highways sector, a key focus area for the government’s infrastructure push.
Ahead of the announcement, shares of RVNL closed at ₹330.80 on the BSE, down 1.40%.
