India targeted terror camps only
The Indian Army confirmed that the strikes were precise and aimed solely at terror camps and launchpads across the Line of Control (LoC) without targeting Pakistani military installations.
Nine terror camps were hit in response to the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, which left 26 people dead. The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy group of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) had claimed responsibility for the attack.
However, the Pakistani government has denied links to the attack. “Pakistan has been emphatically rejecting Indian allegations claiming the presence of terrorist camps on its territory,” it said in the statement, adding that Islamabad had earlier offered an independent probe, claiming that India did not accept its proposal.
