The ceasefire was announced after talks between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries, with both sides agreeing to halt military action from 5:00 pm IST.However, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said Pakistan had fired across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Akhnoor sector and deployed drones near the border, calling the actions “extremely condemnable.” Indian forces, he said, had been instructed to respond firmly to any further provocations.
