The visit aims to enhance cooperation across key areas, with a focus on expanding economic, defence, and cultural ties between the two countries.
This high-level engagement comes after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s 2021 visit to Croatia, which was the first by an Indian foreign minister. The two nations also signed a memorandum of understanding on defence cooperation in 2023.Earlier in the day, PM Modi concluded what he described as a “productive” visit to Canada, where he attended the 51st G7 Summit in Kananaskis on the invitation of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Concluding a productive Canada visit. Thankful to the Canadian people and Government for hosting a successful G7 Summit, which witnessed fruitful discussions on diverse global issues. We remain committed to furthering global peace, prosperity and sustainability.
