The Prime Minister held fruitful dialogue on key issues in the global context on energy security, technology and innovation at the G7 Summit, and met with several leaders and discussed bilateral ties, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a statement on X.

PM Modi attended the G7 Summit in Canada’s Kananaskis, on the invitation of Canadian PM Mark Carney, where he held discussions with the global leaders around challenges and aspirations for a better future.
He held discussions with several leaders such as Carney, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese.

Following the bilateral discussion, India and Canada agreed to improve their strained relations with designating new high commissioners as the next step.
Pm Modi had arrived in Calgary on June 16 after concluding his Cyprus visit. He is going to hold bilateral discussions with the Croatian leaders to expedite ties and parternship.
