During his two-day visit, the Prime Minister will meet the new US President Donald Trump to hold bilateral talks in both restricted and delegation-level formats. The two leaders are likely to discuss key trade and strategic interests, focusing on reducing the trade deficit, reducing import tariffs, strengthening defence ties, and boosting energy cooperation.On another note, the White House indicated Trump’s tariff plan could be announced before he meets with

The visit will also include talks with renowned business leaders in the US, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
PM Modi is the fourth foreign leader to visit the US President since his inauguration in January.
Prior to his US visit, the Prime Minister was in France on a three-day visit, where he also co-chaired the AI Summit with President Emmanuel Macron. He also met the new US Vice-President JD Vance and his family on the sidelines summit.
