He will address important global topics such as energy security, technology and innovation, especially the AI-energy nexus, and quantum-related challenges. He will further exchange views with the heads of international organisations, the G-7 leaders, and other invited countries.
Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic of the Republic of Croatia has invited Prime Minister Modi to visit Croatia on June 18. This will be the first-ever visit by an Indian prime minister to Croatia.
PM Modi is scheduled to meet with Croatian President Zoran Milanovic and have official discussions with Prime Minister Plenkovic. The trip to the southeast European country will also serve as an expression of India’s commitment to broaden its partnership with the European Union.
In 2021, S Jaishankar became the first Indian foreign minister to travel to Croatia as the two nations worked to expand bilateral relations. Two years later, an MoU for defence cooperation was also inked between Croatia and India, per the Times of India.
