PNC Infratech emerges lowest bidder for ₹297 crore Varanasi airport runway project

Infrastructure company PNC Infratech Limited on Tuesday (September 2) announced that it has emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for a project floated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for the development of Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi.The project, valued at ₹297.01 crore (exclusive of GST), involves the extension of the runway along with re-carpeting, strengthening of the existing runway, and allied works. The financial bids for the project were opened on September 2, 2025. According to the company, the work is to be completed within 18 months.

In July this year, PNC Infratech Ltd said it had emerged as the L1 (first lowest) bidder for a mining services contract floated by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.

The total quoted value of the contract stands at ₹2,956.66 crore, exclusive of GST. The financial bids for the project were opened on July 28, 2025. The contract is to be executed over a period of five years.

Shares of PNC Infratech Ltd ended at ₹304, up by ₹0.90, or 0.30%, on the BSE today.
