RailTel Corporation of India Ltd on Monday said it has bagged multiple orders worth around ₹396 crore from the Bihar Education Project Council, covering Information and Communication Technology (ICT) labs, Integrated Science and Mathematics (ISM) labs, smart classrooms and teaching material supply.
The contracts include setting up ICT and ISM labs, supplying teaching-learning material for Classes I–V, and installing smart classrooms across middle, secondary and senior secondary schools in the state. Execution timelines range between December 2025 and March 2026.
Shares of RailTel closed at ₹346.20 on the NSE, up 0.49% before the announcement.Speaking to CNBC-TV18 in August, CMD Sanjai Kumar said RailTel’s telecom business would grow 8–9% annually but project-led expansion remained the primary driver.

RailTel, a Navratna PSU with a pan-India optical fibre network, has a market capitalisation of about ₹11,380 crore.
