Budget documents show that the allocation to the railways sector has remained unchanged for the railways sector at ₹2.51 lakh crore for financial year 2026. The allocation for financial year 2025 was also at ₹2.51 lakh crore.
Allocation for rolling stock for railways stands at ₹45,530 crore. Allocation for signalling and telecom stood at ₹6,800 crore, while for electrification projects stood at ₹6,150 crore.
