YouTuber and influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, has once again found himself at the centre of a social media storm—this time for his appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, as part of a panel debating the tensions between India and Pakistan. On the May 12 episode, Allahbadia defended India’s stance on terrorism with visual cues that have since gone viral.Holding up a photo of Osama bin Laden, Allahbadia said, “He was found 800 metres away from a military base in Pakistan. That’s the face the world recognises.” He followed it with another image, this time of Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Hafiz Abdul Rauf, noting, “This is the face India recognises because it is more specific to our narrative.” He went on to add, “India has a list of people just like this man.”Allahbadia also addressed the now-deleted Instagram post, in which he appealed for peace and expressed empathy towards the people of Pakistan, which was met with backlash. Subsequently, he took the post down. When asked about, he said, “I deleted it because Pakistan had just broken the ceasefire and gave us another reason to not trust the entire state once again.”
He reiterated that while many Indians desire peace, there’s little room for dialogue when, “Even if you try to have a conversation with Pakistan, it responds with ‘where’s the proof of the Pahalgam attack?’”This international appearance comes amid a period of intense scrutiny and controversy surrounding the content creator back home. Earlier this year, Allahbadia was embroiled in a social media uproar over remarks made during his appearance on comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show India’s Got Latent. During the episode, Allahbadia posed a sexually explicit question to a contestant that drew immediate outrage. The backlash was swift and widespread, prompting Allahbadia to issue a public apology. In February 2025, the Supreme Court ordered him to surrender his passport, halting his international travel. However, the court later directed the return of his passport, and on April 29, he announced his first international trip since the controversy.Sharing a photo from Mumbai airport, suitcase in tow, he captioned it, “passport mil gya guys (sic)”. Another photo showed him seated in first class, wearing a cat-eye sleep mask.First Published: May 13, 2025 12:05 PM IST
