Rapper and entrepreneur Badshah is turning up the heat—this time in the kitchen.Badshah has entered the quick service restaurant (QSR) space with the launch of Badboy Pizza, a self-styled “mass-premium” pizza chain, in collaboration with Ghost Kitchens India.
The first outlet has opened in Mumbai’s Andheri and plans are already cooking for 50 more across top metros. The three-year roadmap? Aiming for ₹150 crore in annual recurring revenue through a mix of dine-in outlets and cloud kitchens.
In a very on-brand pre-launch stunt, Badshah starred in a campaign where he was quite literally slapped by a pizza — a cheeky nod to the tagline “pizza that slaps.”The menu leans global with a desi twist — from Dynamite Schezwan and Meh-Hee-Koh to Truffle Cacio-E-Pepe and the Pushpa Pizza. Prices are pegged at around ₹400 per person. It’s not Badshah’s first entrepreneurial act — he’s dabbled in fashion (Badfit), fine dining, nightlife, media and even sports investments. But with India’s QSR market expected to top $139 billion by 2030, this might just be his boldest bet yet.For now, the focus is on scaling. Said Badshah in the release: “Badboy Pizza is an extension of my personality — rooted, bold and real… I’ve always dreamt of having my own pizza chain!”
