Private sector bank CSB Bank Ltd on Thursday (June 12) announced that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the reappointment of Pralay Mondal as managing director and CEO of the bank for a further period of three years, effective September 15, 2025.The bank will now seek shareholder approval for the reappointment within the timeframe mandated under the Companies Act, 2013, and SEBI Listing Regulations.
Mondal joined CSB Bank in September 2020 from fellow private lender Axis Bank, where he headed the retail banking division. At CSB Bank, Mondal’s first stint was as president of retail, SME, operations and IT, after which he was elevated to deputy managing director in February 2022.

Mondal also had prior stints at YES Bank, HDFC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Wipro InfoTech and Colgate Palmolive.He is credited with pioneering efforts in doorstep banking and direct sales.
