Indore’s Infrastructure Boom
Indore has emerged as a key investment destination due to rapid improvements in connectivity and infrastructure. The city recently became the first in Madhya Pradesh to launch metro rail services. In preparation for the 2028 Simhastha Kumbh Mela, a Hindu religious fair held every 12 years in Ujjain, MP, the state is undertaking major upgrades to the railway infrastructure, including the redevelopment of Indore railway station and construction of new tracks and holding areas in and around Ujjain.
On the road network front, projects like the Indore-Ujjain expressway extension and twin tunnels on the Indore-Khandwa route are expected to cut travel time to key religious towns to just one hour by mid-2026.
