RPSG Ventures Ltd, through its subsidiary RPSG Sports Ventures Private Limited (RPSVPL), on Monday (July 28) said it has acquired a 70% equity stake in Manchester Originals Limited for a total consideration of GBP 81.21 million (approximately ₹860 crore).The acquisition was completed on July 28, 2025, and the payment will be made over a period of 24 months, as outlined in the Share Purchase Agreement signed with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
Manchester Originals, a professional cricket team based in Manchester, England, represents Lancashire County in “The Hundred” competition. The team, incorporated on May 10, 2019, reported a turnover of GBP 2.04 million for the financial year ended January 2024.

This acquisition marks a strategic move by RPSG Ventures to expand its global sports footprint, particularly in the cricketing world. According to the company, the deal will unlock opportunities for international collaborations, enhance talent development, and boost brand visibility in key cricket-playing regions.In addition to the Share Purchase Agreement with the ECB, RPSVPL has entered into supporting transaction documents with Manchester Originals Limited, Lancashire County Cricket Club Limited (LCCC), and other relevant parties.
