Putin also underlined Russia’s unwavering support to India in its fight against terrorism. “He conveyed deepest condolences on the loss of innocent lives and expressed full support to India in the fight against terrorism,” Jaiswal added.
Putin further stressed the importance of ensuring accountability for those behind the April 22 attack. “He emphasised that the perpetrators of the heinous attack and their supporters must be brought to justice,” Jaiswal noted.

Commemorating Victory Day, Bilateral Summit Invitation
PM Modi extended greetings to Putin and the Russian people ahead of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. PM was invited for the parade but cancelled his visit on wake of the Pahalgam attack.
Modi also renews his invitation to Putin to visit India for the annual India-Russia bilateral summit scheduled later this year. The invitation was “accepted with gratitude,” confirmed the Russian government, reported PTI.
“PM conveyed greetings to President Putin on the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day and invited him for the Annual Summit to be held in India later in the year,” Jaiswal added.
