S&P 500 closes at 6,000, Dow jumps 400 points; Tesla rallies on Trump-Musk detente

US Stock Market Updates: US stocks surged on Friday, with the S&P 500 closing above the 6,000 mark for the first time since February. The rally followed a better-than-expected monthly jobs report and growing optimism that tensions between President Trump and Elon Musk may be easing. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied more than 400 points, or about 1.2%, while the S&P 500 added about 1% to close at the 6,000 mark.
