Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: The Indian stock market ended the week on a strong note, posting its biggest weekly gain of 2025. The Nifty 50 snapped a three-week losing streak, rising nearly 2%, while the Sensex also registered gains. However, the banking sector lagged, with the Nifty Bank index edging up just 0.4% for the week.

Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: A strong rally in the broader markets lifted the Midcap Index by nearly 3%, supported by positive global cues and strong buying interest across sectors. All sectoral indices ended in the green, with metal and PSU stocks leading the charge.Nearly 40 Nifty stocks closed the week with gains, with four of them posting double-digit growth. Among the top performers on the Nifty, BEL, Tata Steel, BPCL, Hindalco, Adani Enterprises, and Adani Ports stood out. In the midcap segment, India Cements, Adani Energy, Alembic Pharma, and HPCL were the biggest gainers.

Despite the strong weekly performance, the market closed on a muted note on Friday after a rangebound session. The Sensex declined by 8 points to end at 74,333, while the Nifty 50 slipped by 8 points to 22,553. The Nifty Bank index lost 130 points to settle at 48,498, and the Midcap Index fell 158 points to 49,191.
