Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd on Friday reported a mixed operational update for the April–June quarter (Q1 FY26), with stainless steel sales volumes declining even as average realisations improved.
The company’s stainless steel sales volume stood at 19,813 tonnes for Q1, down 18% quarter-on-quarter. However, average realisation rose 8% sequentially to ₹1.38 lakh per tonne.
For June alone, stainless steel sales dropped 19% month-on-month and year-on-year to 5,665 tonnes, while average realisation inched up 4% MoM and 3% YoY to ₹1.43 lakh per tonne.
In the aluminium foil segment, Shyam Metalics posted a 3% QoQ decline in sales volumes for Q1 at 5,440 tonnes. The average realisation during the quarter improved 4% QoQ to ₹3.65 lakh per tonne.

On a monthly basis, June aluminium foil sales volumes fell 14% MoM but surged 52% YoY to 1,783 tonnes. Realisation dropped 2% MoM but remained 9% higher YoY at ₹3.61 lakh per tonne.
Ahead of the Q1 update, shares of Shyam Metalics closed largely flat on Friday at ₹877.25 apiece on the NSE.
