The US has reached at least five tariff agreements so far. We decode the common themes and the likely impact on India if some of these decisions were to be replicated in the negotiation with India.

Europe may have settled for less than a good deal to avoid a trade war with the US. The baseline tariff of 15% on European exports to the US is broadly within the range that Trump has imposed on other exporting countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, and Japan.
