The project will involve the augmentation of the water supply system under the AMRUT 2.0. Furthermore, the project also includes a comprehensive 10-year Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contract.
Key Features of the Project
- Intake & Raw Water Pumping: Construction of a state-of-the-art Intake of 1,650 MLD capacity along with a Raw Water Pump House.
- Water Treatment Plant: A modern 400 MLD Water Treatment Plant (WTP) equipped with advanced technology to meet stringent water quality standards.
- Pumping & Transmission: Development of Clear Water Booster Pumping Stations, pumping mains, and associated transmission systems with 22 kilometres of pipeline of 1,200 mm – 2,337 mm diameter.
- Electric Substation: Establishment of an integrated 132/33 kV power substation to support the water supply operations.
- Long-Term Operations: Comprehensive 10-year O&M contract, ensuring optimal system performance with structured escalation provisions.
Subhash Sethi, Chairman of SPML Infra Limited, said, “Indore is amongst India’s cleanest cities, and this new water infrastructure will further enhance the quality of life for its residents.”

Last month, the Delhi-based company won a water production and supply system project, worth ₹385 crore, for Kekri-Sarwar Sector Package-III in Ajmer, Rajasthan.
Shares of SPML Infra had ended 6% higher on Monday, at ₹296.7. The stock has gained 16% so far in 2025.
The shares of gained over 3% in the early hours of the day’s trade on Tuesday.
