In the last full-fledged Budget ahead of state polls next year, the DMK made big allocations for its flagship welfare schemes. It is the last full-fledged Budget of the Mamata Banerjee government ahead of the 2026 state elections. The state allocated a major chuck of ₹1,18,294.89 crore for gender-specific schemes in the 2025-26 budget.6 / 9Chief Minister Omar Abdullah presented the first Budget of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in the legislative Assembly. The Budget of ₹1.12 lakh crore was tabled for 2025-26.7 / 9The Madhya Pradesh government presented a ₹4.21 lakh crore budget for 2025-26 with no new taxes proposed, a 15% increase over the last fiscal.8 / 9The Nitish Kumar government in Bihar tabled a ₹3.17 lakh crore budget in the Assembly. This is the last Budget before the scheduled Assembly elections in November this year.9 / 9Jharkhand Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore presented the state’s ₹1.45 lakh crore budget for financial year 2025-2026. The estimated budget of the state’s own tax revenue in the financial year 2025-26 is ₹35,200 crore.
